Explanation

Among priests, O Partha, know me as their chief, Brihaspati. Among army commanders I am Skanda, and among bodies of water I am the ocean. Each represents the highest form of its kind: wisdom in worship, leadership in battle, and vastness in nature.

Brihaspati is the priest and teacher of the gods, the guru of Indra, renowned for wisdom and mastery of sacred speech; he is also identified with the planet Jupiter. Skanda, also called Kartikeya, Murugan or Subrahmanya, is the son of Shiva and Parvati and the commander of the army of the gods, who defeated the demon Taraka. The ocean is the greatest of all waters, into which rivers flow. Partha, son of Pritha (Kunti), is Arjuna. Speaking to a warrior, Krishna fittingly names the supreme general among his glories.
