dharmyāddhi yuddhācchreyo'nyatkṣatriyasya na vidyate ||

Meaning in English

Considering also your own duty, you should not waver. For a kshatriya (warrior), there is nothing better than a righteous war.

Explanation

Considering your own duty too, you should not waver; for a kshatriya there is nothing better than a righteous war.

Krishna now adds a second argument, from svadharma — one's own duty. Arjuna's duty as a warrior is to protect dharma; refusing it would be a failure, not a virtue.

Living it today

Ask what your role asks of you today — as parent, worker, citizen — and do it without wavering.
