Explanation

Duryodhana gives his order: stationed at all the entry points of the formation, each in your assigned position, all of you must protect Bhishma above everything.

Bhishma is the pillar of the Kaurava army, so his safety is everything. Commentators also note a hidden weakness: Bhishma had vowed not to fight Shikhandi, who had been born a woman, and so he would need others to guard him at that point. The order also reflects Duryodhana's dependence on one man; when Bhishma falls on the tenth day, the army is badly shaken.

भावार्थ

आप सब अपने-अपने स्थान पर व्यूह के सभी मोर्चों पर डटे रहते हुए, सब ओर से भीष्म पितामह की ही रक्षा करें।

Living it today

If everything depends on one person, the whole effort is fragile. Build teams and plans that do not rest on a single pillar.
