Explanation
Teachers, fathers, sons and grandfathers, maternal uncles, fathers-in-law, grandsons, brothers-in-law and other relatives.
Arjuna repeats and widens the list from verses 26 and 27. The repetition itself is telling: a mind in grief circles back to the same images again and again. Every word names a relationship of respect, love or duty, and each makes the act of fighting harder for him to imagine.
