Explanation

And if in jest I treated you without due respect, while playing, resting, sitting or eating, alone or in front of others, O Achyuta, for all that I ask forgiveness of you, the immeasurable one. Arjuna completes his apology for the familiarity of their friendship.

The list — play, rest, sitting together, meals — recalls the shared everyday life of two close friends and cousins. Arjuna now asks pardon from the 'immeasurable' Lord for anything that fell short of reverence. Commentators note the beauty of the contrast: the God of the cosmic vision had been sharing ordinary meals and jokes. The verse teaches humility, but it also shows how near the Divine comes to those who love him.
