Explanation

You are the father of this world, of all that moves and does not move; you are its object of worship and its most venerable teacher. There is none equal to you, O you of matchless power — how could there be anyone greater, even in the three worlds? Arjuna declares Krishna's uniqueness.

The verse names three relationships: father, object of worship, and guru. Commentators note that Arjuna, having apologised for treating Krishna as an equal, now affirms that no one is his equal at all. The phrase 'none equal, how then greater' echoes the Shvetashvatara Upanishad (6.8), which says the same of the supreme Lord. The verse is often recited as a prayer of reverence to God as parent and teacher of all.
