Explanation

Krishna says: I will declare once more that supreme knowledge, the highest of all kinds of knowledge, by knowing which all the sages have passed from this world to the highest perfection. It is a solemn introduction to the teaching on the gunas.

Chapter 14 opens by praising what is to come, the teaching on the three gunas. Having separated spirit from nature in chapter 13, Krishna now explains how nature binds spirit through its three qualities, and how to rise above them. Shankara notes that the praise is meant to awaken interest and faith in the listener. The word again shows that this is a deepening of earlier teaching, not a new subject.

भावार्थ
