Explanation
Even while always performing all kinds of action, one who takes refuge in me attains by my grace the eternal, imperishable abode. The goal reached by the quiet contemplative is equally open to the active person whose work rests on God, not on personal ambition.
After describing the path of the contemplative, Krishna reassures Arjuna that the same goal is open to one who stays fully active, provided all is done with God as refuge. The word prasāda, grace, appears here and in the next verses as a key theme of the closing teaching. Shankara reads the verse as praise of karma-yoga dedicated to the Lord. Ramanuja stresses that grace, not effort alone, brings the result. Tilak cites it as decisive support for his view that the Gita's final teaching is devoted action.
