Explanation

Setting aside all dharmas, take refuge in me alone. I will set you free from all sins; do not grieve.

This is the Gita's great call to surrender; the Sri Vaishnava tradition calls it the carama-śloka, the final teaching. Commentators read "setting aside all dharmas" in different ways — giving up reliance on one's own efforts, or the sense of being the doer — but none take it as permission to abandon duty: Arjuna goes on to fight. It ends with the most comforting words of the Gita, "mā śucaḥ" — do not grieve.

भावार्थ

सब धर्मों को त्यागकर केवल मेरी शरण में आ जाओ। मैं तुम्हें सब पापों से मुक्त कर दूँगा — शोक मत करो।

Living it today
