Explanation

The yogi who, established in oneness, worships me as dwelling in all beings, abides in me, however he may be living. Such a person stays connected to the divine whether meditating or working, at home or in the world, because he sees God in everyone he meets.

After the vision of 6.29 and 6.30, Krishna draws the practical conclusion. One who sees him in every being honours him by honouring all beings. 'However he may be living' means that such a person remains in God whether meditating or working, at home or in the world. Shankara reads 'ekatva' as the knowledge of identity with the Lord; Ramanuja reads it as seeing the one Lord equally present in all selves. Either way, the verse removes the wall between spiritual life and everyday life.

Living it today

Treat the people around you, family, colleagues, strangers, as places where the divine lives. That attitude is worship you can carry everywhere.
