Explanation
The Rudras, Adityas, Vasus and Sadhyas, the Vishvedevas, the two Ashvins, the Maruts and the ancestors, and hosts of gandharvas, yakshas, asuras and siddhas — all gaze at you in amazement. Every class of celestial being watches the vision in wonder.
The list gathers the whole Vedic and Puranic world of higher beings. The ushmapas, 'drinkers of the warm', are explained by Shankara and others as the ancestors (pitris), who receive warm food offerings. Gandharvas are celestial musicians, yakshas nature spirits, asuras the opponents of the gods, and siddhas perfected beings. By including even the asuras, the verse shows that no being, good or hostile, stands outside the Lord's form or fails to be amazed by it.
