Explanation

Whoever teaches this supreme secret to my devotees, showing supreme devotion to me, will without doubt come to me. Sharing the Gita with those who are eager to learn is itself a form of devotion, and Krishna promises that such a teacher will reach him.

After saying who should not receive the teaching, Krishna praises those who pass it on to the receptive. Teaching the Gita is itself counted as an act of devotion. Shankara notes that the teaching must be given as service to the Lord, not for gain or fame. Ramanuja reads 'supreme devotion' as the motive with which the teacher speaks. The verse has inspired the long tradition of Gita recitation, discourse and study groups across India.
