Explanation
In the beginning the Creator, Prajapati, brought forth beings together with sacrifice and said: By this you shall prosper; let this be the giver of all you desire.
Krishna places yajna, sacrifice or offering, at the very origin of the world: humans were created along with the duty of giving. The image of Kamadhuk recalls Kamadhenu, the wish-granting cow. Shankara and Ramanuja take yajna in its Vedic ritual sense, as well as duty in general. Gandhi and Vinoba widened it to any work done for the good of others, which keeps the world going. The idea is that receiving and giving are woven together from the start.
