Explanation

Duryodhana begins listing the leading warriors on the Pandava side: here are heroes and great archers, equal in battle to Bhima and Arjuna, such as Yuyudhana, Virata and the great chariot-fighter Drupada.

Yuyudhana is Satyaki of the Vrishni clan, a devoted pupil of Arjuna. Virata is the king of Matsya, at whose court the Pandavas spent their year in disguise. Drupada is the king of Panchala and Draupadi's father. Bhima and Arjuna are Duryodhana's yardstick: they are the two Pandavas he fears most. A mahāratha, in the traditional definition, is a warrior able to fight ten thousand archers single-handed.
