What the address covered
The Shri Guruji Samagra gives a short summary of Golwalkar's 1941 Vijayadashami talk. He recalled that Hedgewar had founded the Sangh on this day to organise a divided Hindu society under the saffron flag. He said the times were grim and that a thousand years of decline could not be undone overnight, but he was confident Hindu society would regain its former glory. In the Shastra Puja talk he said a society is more than a crowd. He described conversion as a drain on Hindu strength and called the worship of strength every society's first duty.
How sure is this?
This account rests mainly on one source, listed below; details may be incomplete. For these years the main source is the organisation's own compilation of Golwalkar's talks (Shri Guruji Samagra), which prints edited summaries rather than verbatim transcripts.
