What the address covered
In the first Vijayadashami after the 1962 war, Golwalkar (per the Samagra summary) said Chinese and Pakistani forces stood on India's borders while their propaganda swayed world opinion over Kashmir. He argued that aggressors must be answered firmly rather than with appeals to justice. He said an army needs a disciplined, patriotic society behind it and confident leaders, and criticised the Kamaraj Plan turmoil in Congress at a time of national danger. The Shastrapujan address complained about attacks on Ganesh processions in Maharashtra, including at Malegaon, and about one-sided official action.
Context
Post-1962 war address; Kamaraj Plan criticised.
