What the address covered
This address came about two weeks before China's main offensive of 20 October 1962. According to Shri Guruji Samagra, Golwalkar urged constant vigilance. He reported on his tour of earthquake-hit Assam, where swayamsevaks were doing relief work, and alleged large-scale illegal settlement from across the border with official help. He warned of separatist and missionary activity in Tamil Nadu. Citing press reports that China had entered NEFA, he criticised the foreign minister's dismissive remark before leaving for New York and called for disciplined patriotism. The Shastrapujan address said China was exploiting Panchsheel.
Context
Pre-war warning about Chinese moves in NEFA.
