What Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram means

"Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram" is a song of praise rather than a request: "Shri Rama — victory to Rama, victory, victory to Rama." Its thirteen syllables (śrī rā ma ja ya rā ma ja ya ja ya rā ma) make it the Trayodashakshari, the thirteen-syllable Ram mantra, also called the Ram Taraka mantra — the mantra that carries the devotee across.

"Shri" is both "glorious" and the name of Lakshmi, who came as Sita; so the mantra calls on Sita and Rama together. "Jaya" is the cry of victory — the victory of dharma, which Rama embodied, and the victory of the Lord over the restlessness of our own minds.

Tradition holds that the name of Rama alone is enough. In the Vishnu Sahasranama, when Parvati asks for a shorter way than the thousand names, Shiva answers: "Shri Rama Rama Rama — the name of Rama is equal to the thousand names."
