    अङ्गं हरेः पुलकभूषणमाश्रयन्ती
    भृङ्गाङ्गनेव मुकुलाभरणं तमालम् ।
    अङ्गीकृताखिलविभूतिरपाङ्गलीला
    माङ्गल्यदाऽस्तु मम मङ्गलदेवतायाः ॥

    aṅgaṃ hareḥ pulakabhūṣaṇamāśrayantī
    bhṛṅgāṅganeva mukulābharaṇaṃ tamālam |
    aṅgīkṛtākhilavibhūtirapāṅgalīlā
    māṅgalyadā'stu mama maṅgaladevatāyāḥ ||

    जैसे भ्रमरी कलियों से सजे तमाल वृक्ष का आश्रय लेती है, वैसे ही जो रोमांच से विभूषित श्रीहरि के अंगों पर ठहरती है और जिसमें समस्त ऐश्वर्य समाया है, मंगलदेवता लक्ष्मी की वह कटाक्ष-लीला मेरे लिए मंगलदायिनी हो।

    As a female bee is drawn to the tamala tree adorned with buds, Lakshmi's glance rests on the body of Hari, thrilled with joy. May that playful sidelong glance of the goddess of auspiciousness, which holds all prosperity, bring auspiciousness to me.

    मुग्धा मुहुर्विदधती वदने मुरारेः
    प्रेमत्रपाप्रणिहितानि गतागतानि ।
    माला दृशोर्मधुकरीव महोत्पले या
    सा मे श्रियं दिशतु सागरसम्भवायाः ॥

    mugdhā muhurvidadhatī vadane murāreḥ
    prematrapāpraṇihitāni gatāgatāni |
    mālā dṛśormadhukarīva mahotpale yā
    sā me śriyaṃ diśatu sāgarasambhavāyāḥ ||

    जैसे भ्रमरी विशाल नीलकमल पर बार-बार आती-जाती है, वैसे ही प्रेम और लज्जा से मुरारि के मुख पर बार-बार आती-जाती, समुद्र से उत्पन्न लक्ष्मी की वह मोहक दृष्टिमाला मुझे श्री (समृद्धि) प्रदान करे।

    Like a bee hovering over a great blue lotus, her gaze goes again and again to the face of Murari, drawn by love and held back by shyness. May that garland of glances of the ocean-born goddess grant me prosperity.

  3. Shloka 3#

    आमीलिताक्षमधिगम्य मुदा मुकुन्दम्
    आनन्दकन्दमनिमेषमनङ्गतन्त्रम् ।

    āmīlitākṣamadhigamya mudā mukundam
    ānandakandamanimeṣamanaṅgatantram |
    ākekarasthitakanīnikapakṣmanetraṃ
    bhūtyai bhavenmama bhujaṅgaśayāṅganāyāḥ ||

    आनन्द के मूल, आधी मुँदी आँखों वाले मुकुन्द को प्रसन्नता से अपलक निहारती, कोने में ठहरी पुतलियों वाली, शेषशायी भगवान की प्रिया लक्ष्मी की वह दृष्टि मेरे लिए ऐश्वर्यदायिनी हो।

    With pupils resting at the corners and lashes still, her eyes gaze unblinking with joy at Mukunda, who lies with half-closed eyes, the very root of bliss. May that gaze of the beloved of the Lord who reclines on the serpent bring me prosperity.

    बाह्वन्तरे मधुजितः श्रितकौस्तुभे या

    bāhvantare madhujitaḥ śritakaustubhe yā
    hārāvalīva harinīlamayī vibhāti |
    kāmapradā bhagavato'pi kaṭākṣamālā
    kalyāṇamāvahatu me kamalālayāyāḥ ||

    मधुसूदन के कौस्तुभ-मणि से सुशोभित वक्षस्थल पर जो इन्द्रनील मणियों की माला-सी शोभित होती है और भगवान की भी कामनाएँ पूर्ण करती है, कमलवासिनी लक्ष्मी की वह कटाक्षमाला मेरा कल्याण करे।

    On the chest of the slayer of Madhu, where the Kaustubha gem rests, her row of glances shines like a necklace of sapphires. May that garland of glances of her who dwells in the lotus — which fulfils the wishes even of the Lord — bring me well-being.

    dhārādhare sphurati yā taḍidaṅganeva |
    mātuḥ samastajagatāṃ mahanīyamūrtir
    bhadrāṇi me diśatu bhārgavanandanāyāḥ ||

    कैटभ के शत्रु श्रीविष्णु के मेघ के समान श्याम और सुन्दर वक्षस्थल पर जो बिजली-सी चमकती हैं, समस्त लोकों की माता, भृगुनन्दिनी लक्ष्मी की वह पूजनीय मूर्ति मुझे कल्याण प्रदान करे।

    Like lightning flashing across a dark rain cloud, she shines on the lovely dark chest of the slayer of Kaitabha. May that adorable form of the mother of all the worlds, the daughter of Bhrigu, grant me every blessing.

    mandālasaṃ ca makarālayakanyakāyāḥ ||

    जिसके प्रभाव से कामदेव ने मंगलमय मधुसूदन के हृदय में पहली बार स्थान पाया, समुद्रकन्या लक्ष्मी की वह मन्द और अलसायी अधखुली दृष्टि मुझ पर पड़े।

    By whose power love first found a place in the heart of the auspicious slayer of Madhu — may that slow, gentle half-glance of the daughter of the ocean fall upon me here.

    īṣanniṣīdatu mayi kṣaṇamīkṣaṇārdham
    indīvarodarasahodaramindirāyāḥ ||

    जो समस्त देवताओं के राजा इन्द्र का पद देने में समर्थ है और मुर के शत्रु विष्णु को भी अत्यधिक आनन्द देती है, नीलकमल के भीतरी भाग के समान इन्दिरा की वह अधखुली दृष्टि क्षण भर के लिए मुझ पर ठहरे।

    Her half-glance, like the heart of a blue lotus, can bestow the rank of Indra over all the gods and gives joy even to the enemy of Mura. May it rest on me, even for a moment.

    जिसकी दया से भीगी दृष्टि से साधारण बुद्धि वाले भी सहज ही स्वर्ग पा लेते हैं, कमलासना लक्ष्मी की खिले कमल के भीतरी भाग-सी दीप्त वह दृष्टि मुझे इच्छित पुष्टि प्रदान करे।

    By her gaze, moist with compassion, even those of modest merit easily reach heaven. May that gaze of the goddess seated on the lotus, radiant as the heart of a blossoming lotus, give me the nourishment I long for.
